Actionpoint Issues
Problem: Actionpoint is unable to detect the Red USB Host after installing version 2.5.5.0 or later
Cause: The Tray Tool uses the Host resources which the Actionpoint software suite cannot override.
Solution: Stop the Qwizdom Tray tool from running on startup.
How to Test
Click on the Qwizdom Tray at the bottom right hand corner. It should give the Session ID of the red host at the top (shown below).
Open Actionpoint. Click the Presentation Setup icon, wait for the window to load, and then click the 'login' tab. If there is an issue, the Session ID of the Red Host will not appear.
Solution
The tray needs to be removed from the Startup folder. To do this:
- Click Start
- Click All Programs (or Programs in Vista)
- Click Startup
- Right Click 'Qwizdom Tools' shortcut, and select Delete.
- Right Click on the Qwizdom Tools Tray icon and Select Exit.
Note: To delete for all users:
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Startup
OR
Vista / 7 - C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
(You may need to enable hidden files and folders to navigate to these locations)
