Essex County Council uses Qwizdom to inform company strategy
Introduction
Essex County Council is one of the largest council in the UK. The council uses Qwizdom over a variety of different business areas including large events, workshops and information days. The data collated from the Audience Response Systems is extremely useful to informing strategy.
The Aim
The council hold information days which they use to collect feedback from staff members and members of the public. It is important for them to gather as much reliable information as possible from these activities as this data is used to inform company policies and ongoing strategy.
Solution:
Stephen Simpkin, Strategy Officer at Essex County Council says:
"Using Qwizdom we have been able to manage events and workshops of up to 70 people and found that using the handsets encouraged communications across varied demographics and promoted discussion amongst delegates. We also hold a number of information days across our district council and we’ve found we can gauge opinions across the board with the data we proving invaluable. On a smaller scale we have made excellent use of Qwizdom for team meetings, for example using ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ style ice breaker questions before going into an interactive presentation."
Prior to using Qwizdom, feedback from conferences and information days was collated post-event but with the Audience Response System, Essex County Council can view feedback in real time. They also have a record of the data for post-event evaluation, meaning that no information is lost. With data being stored in Excel, PDF or Flash, it is tidy, easy to analyse and very useful for informing and developing company strategy.
